About Us

Support Ukraine is a community group that came together to support the rights of Ukraine and Ukrainians. We welcome supporters from anywhere in the world.

We are a diverse group of Ukrainians and Europeans living in London who support democracy, self-determination and human rights.

Since pro-democracy protesters first took to the streets in Kyiv in November 2013, we have been campaigning in support of the people of Ukraine.

We need the UK and the EU to act now to help Ukraine at this crucial time to defend Europe and European values against Russian aggression.

We believe that only strong and decisive actions and backing from the world leaders, will help to stop Putin's regime aggression against Ukraine and democracy. We believe in sanctions against Putin, his regime and his supporters. We believe in wider sanctions against those who directly or indirectly support or fund Russian was in Ukraine.

We have no financial backers or access to public funds, we are funded by voluntary donations from the members of the community and some generous businesses. We are run by a group of volunteers and we welcome new people to our team.

Please send a message to this page if you'd like to support us.

Heartbroken But Unbroken

London, 24.02.2024

On this solemn occasion marking the 2-year anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian, British, and International communities came together in resolute solidarity for Ukraine.

The remembrance event, titled "Heartbroken But Unbroken," was orchestrated by several Ukrainian and British organisations. It was proudly led by our dedicated team of Support Ukraine volunteers and activists.

Since its inception in 2013, the Support Ukraine team has been steadfastly conducting awareness rallies and humanitarian aid campaigns. However, its scope and impact have magnified significantly since 24.02.2022.

Over the past two years, our team has orchestrated 326 daily rallies and 6 monumental marches and events.

The 2-year remembrance mega march, a poignant procession from Marble Arch to Trafalgar Square, held profound significance. The ensuing Vigil at Trafalgar Square drew nearly 7,000 attendees, representing a myriad of British-Ukrainian organizations, politicians, officials, cultural figures, and activists.

It was an event of immense significance, a testament to the indomitable spirit and resilience of Ukrainians and their allies. Together, we stand unwavering, for we believe that ultimately, light shall triumph over darkness.

Heartbroken but unbroken.

Unbreakable.

Providing critical aid to Ukraine

Lobbying political groups

We have been actively providing support to the Ukrainian community in both the UK and Ukraine since 2014.
When the war broke out on February 22, we dialled up our efforts in both making our Ukrainian voices heard and ensuring that critical aid is delivered to Ukraine in the most efficient way possible.
We played a key role in the establishment of the Support Ukraine Coordination Hub which united many British Ukrainian organisations with one single aim- to help Ukrainians in this terrible war brought to their homes by Russian military.
Jointly with our partner organisations and volunteers we have delivered over 400 tones of aid to Ukraine.
We have raised over £300K which has materialised into aid and support for the Ukrainians affected directly by the crisis.

Raised funds are used to buy more aid and organise shipments to Ukraine, for reference hiring a lorry costs about £3500 and a van £800 one way.
We reach out to the UK authorities and key decision makers with a view to gain necessary support and aid where our volunteer efforts are not enough.
And we will continue to stand out ground until the evil is defeated and Ukraine is rebuilt.

Make Your Voice Heard

Our team and fellow volunteers do a number of things to make sure that our opinions are heard:
- We write to our MPs and other decision-making organisations to make them aware of the Ukrainian community's position
- We create forums and platforms to help unite single-minded individuals
- Create a library of informative and media material

You can help us by writing to your MP or business, or spreading the word amongst your friends and community.
Every little helps to bring this terrible war to the end.
We are stronger together!

"Pledge 0.25% of GDP to military aid for Ukraine for the next 4 year"

By promising, at least, this amount for the next four years, as Estonia has done, we can greatly help Ukraine in the long-term planning necessary to achieve victory. This Petition was started by a supporter of Ukraine - Stephen Devincenzi and promoted actively by a group of Ukrainian and British activists in London.

The team is looking for support across the UK, to help us promote this Petition. The number of signatures required to get a Government response is 10,000 - the current number is now just over one thousand.

For the Petition to be considered for debate in Parliament, 100,000 signatures are required! I'm hoping that you will help us by encouraging your Members and Supporters to raise the signature count. Ukraine’s victory depends on comprehensive Western support. The Government therefore should commit to providing more long-term military aid that demonstrably helps Ukraine’s counter-offensive efforts.
